Building on its heyday in the 1980s, AUTRY puts a distinct focus on combining retro style with modern technology. Originally founded by Jim Autry, the Dallas-based footwear label became known for sportswear styles that were attributed to specific disciplines, including running, aerobics and basketball. The most popular of all, however, were the ‘Medalist’ tennis trainers – winning multiple awards and gaining 5 stars in the Runner’s World Magazine in 1987. Today, AUTRY revisits its archives to pay homage to the iconic low-top silhouette in updated colours and materials that are better suited to the challenges of an urban context.
